![]() ![]() One adult male was arrested for the string of robberies and the other two adults were arrested for shoplifting from the business and obstruction of a peace officer. All parties were contacted after a short foot pursuit. A tactical vehicle intervention was conducted disabling the vehicle and all three occupants fled on foot. Several officers attempted to contact the suspect vehicle which started to flee as officers approached it with emergency lights activated. Moments later the suspects fled from the store and ran to the vehicle. There two suspects entered the store wearing masks. The vehicle which was occupied three times was followed to a business in the 8700 block of N. On 2/1/24, Investigators were able to identify a suspect vehicle and followed it during the evening of 2/1/24. During these robberies a group of individuals would demand money from the businesses, and one party was often armed with a handgun. ![]() Starting between 1/28/24 thru 1/31/24, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a pattern of convenience store robberies. The ICAC unit contacted and arrested 24-year-old Conner Mather on the charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, a class three felony. On 02-01-24, a search warrant was executed in the 3500 block of Corbett Lane. During the investigation, detectives linked 19 cybertips together as likely being a single offender. The Colorado Springs ICAC Task Force is comprised of detectives from the Colorado Springs Police Department, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Special Agents with Homeland Security Investigations, and a Special Agent with the Department of Army Criminal Investigation Division.įrom April 2023 to November 2023, the Colorado Springs Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit received multiple cybertip reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reference unknown online personas uploading child sexual abuse material to known social media apps. The Colorado ICAC Task Force investigates subjects who sexually exploit and lure Colorado’s most vulnerable victims. The Colorado Springs Police Department is the lead agency for the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force which is comprised of approximately 100 affiliate law enforcement agencies throughout the state. He was arrested on the charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, a class four felony. On 02-01-24, 43-year-old Eugene Templeton, was contacted at his place of employment in the 4600 block of Centennial Blvd. ![]() During the investigation, a suspect was identified however his location was unknown. In July 2023, the Colorado Springs Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit started an investigation into an unknown subject uploading child sexual abuse material to a cloud-based storage app. Diaz was arrested on several charges to include Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Vehicular Eluding, and DUI. The driver of the truck, 23 year old Kristoval Diaz, was identified as the male from the earlier convenience store robbery. The truck was eventually stopped in the 3000 block of West Colorado Avenue after a PIT maneuverer was performed. Officers attempted to stop and contact the truck, but the truck failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. On, at approximately 0026 hours, officers observed the dark colored truck from the robbery in the 4300 block of Airport Road. The male then left with an undisclosed amount of cash in a dark colored truck prior to police arrival. During this incident, a male entered the convenience store, produced a handgun, and demanded money from the store clerk. On, at approximately 2239 hours, Sand Creek officers responded to a convenience store at 5300 Airport Road to investigate a reported robbery with a weapon. From, go to the CSPD homepage and select “Cold Reporting-Report a Minor Traffic Accident” from the "Quick Links" section and follow the instructions. Drivers can either pick up a traffic accident report form at any of the police department substations, or they can go on line at. When damage to any vehicle requires a wrecker, a counter report can still be made, providing the previous criteria is met. Drivers are reminded if they are involved in a traffic crash with no fatality or injury requiring medical attention, no driver involved is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, all drivers are present with license, registration and insurance information, and no damage to public property such as a street sign or utility pole has occurred, drivers should exchange their information and follow the procedure for completing a counter (cold) report. The Colorado Springs Police Department is on Accident Alert status as of 10:00AM, on Saturday, until further notice. **Update: As of at 1205 hours, CSPD is no longer on Accident Alert status. ![]()
